So by now I'm sure you have seen that we are expecting another little girl. We are so excited! I was really surprised when the ultrasound tech said she was a girl...I was totally prepared for a boy. My ultrasound lasted for almost 90 minutes and they were very detailed. My ultrasound tech's name was Kim and she was the same one who did my ultrasound about 8 weeks ago. She is so kind and another Christian woman. I really liked that she was honest about what she saw. Some techs won't tell you anything...they just say, "I can't tell you anything. Only the doctor." She said she doesn't believe in that and she told me exactly what she was looking at (sometimes it just looks like gray space) and if it was healthy. Payslie got a clean bill of health so far. I'm sure they are extra cautious because of what happened with Brooke.

These past couple of days have been full of emotional highs and lows. I can't really put into words how joyful I feel about having another girl. I went shopping on Saturday with my mother-in-law Judi and my sister-in-law Brandie, and my nieces Lacie and Baylie to pick out nursery bedding and a bassinet. I'm glad we held onto everything we got for Brooke...but part of my heart breaks just thinking of putting Payslie in the things that were meant for Brooke. I know these things would have been handed down anyways, but it still hurts. It goes to show that one little girl can't replace another. I feel good that we've already gotten some things that are just for Payslie...and I think Brooke would be happy to share "her stuff" with her little sister.

Well, I'm going to go make dinner and try to go to the gym. Here's a picture from our ultrasound. This is Payslie's skinny little face. She doesn't have much meat on her yet...not until the end, but for now, here's a sneak peak.
